Our Namesake

Michael Faraday’s ability to think laterally is the inspiration behind the Faraday Financial approach. He has probably had more influence on our daily lives than any almost any other inventor.

It’s entirely due to his work that you are able to view this information on your computer today.

His scientific work laid the foundations of all subsequent electro-technology and his early experiments led directly to the modern electric motor, generator and transformer and the ability to transmit electrical energy over long distances.

In 1832 he proved that the electricity induced from a magnet, electricity produced by a battery, and static electricity were all the same. He also did significant work in electrochemistry, stating the First and Second Laws of Electrolysis. This laid the basis for electrochemistry, another great modern industry.
